In addition to owning a vast collection of some of the finest stock equine images available, Susan is available by appointment for photo sessions. If you are interested in making an appointment to have your horse photographed, please read on.
Susan photographs horses by appointment only at home or at a show. Whether you want pictures of your horse alone or with you and/or all the family, it can be done. See the calendar for dates and locations of when she might be near your farm. Or call to discuss setting up sessions in your area. If you arrange a photo session while she's in your area, you benefit in two ways: you not only get great pictures, but you get them at a reduced rate.
Rates
Photo session rates vary depending on how the photos are used. Please select the option that most accurately represents your situation. If you are unsure which category you fit into, please contact us (773-728-5605 susanthephotographer @ mac dot com) for assistance.

Individual Photo Sessions
- $300.00 for a one-hour session
- Proofs will be downloadable
- Includes an 8x10 print
- Travel expenses*
One hour per horse is usually more than sufficient, and sometimes we can do up to three horses (per owner) in an hour. Minimum of one hour per owner. $150.00 an hour after first hour. Proof sheets (six images per page) are $10.00 each. This option includes one 5X7 photo.
Shared Photo Sessions
- $125.00
- One Pose
- 4-5 proofs will be downloadable
A minimum of four people per location must sign up for this service. This simple rate applies only when I'm already going to be at your barn. Otherwise, shared travel expenses are billable. This is a very popular choice!
Advertising
STALLION PHOTOGRAPHY is Susan's specialty. Call to discuss what makes a good stallion photo and to set up an appointment for a photo session. She can photograph the stallion's offspring, too. This will provide you with excellent pictures to use in his advertising campaign for several years to come. Your stallion will look his very best, and this, with pictures of his offspring, will promote his prepotency.
- $300.00 for the session, per stallion**
- $1,500 for the license to use the pictures in print ads and on the internet (up to three stallions)
- (Alternative option: $800.00 to use the pictures on the internet, only)
- Proofs will be downloadable
- $30.00 an hour to prepare files for print and/or the internet
- Plus travel expenses*

* Travel expenses include airfare/40¢ per mile, lodging, meals, parking and tolls. These can be shared with others in your area.
** If I am photographing multiple horses (not stallions), it's $300.00 for the first hour and $150.00 an hour after that.
